18 months of Unprecedented Impact at The Chris Bertish Foundation!

As we reflect on an extraordinary year and extraordinary eighteen months at the Chris Bertish Foundation, we are thrilled to share with you our achievements and the amazing strides we’ve made towards making the “impossible” a reality. Here’s a snapshot of our journey and the impact we’ve made together:

🌊 Donations and Impact: A Year in Review, raising and donating almost $10k to other amazing charities and causes.

Conservation International Foundation: Donation of $3,667.
Sea Shepherd International: Donation of $3,667.
SeaTrees International: Donation of $2,475.
FleaHab: Donation of $150.

🌏 Transpac Wing Project

A bold undertaking from February to July 2022, where Chris Bertish became the first human to wing foil across any ocean! This incredible journey not only raised almost $10,000 for charity but also amplified the urgent message on ocean pollution and climate change.

Global Reach: Over $5 million in reach and 2.2 million impressions.
World Records: 2x World Records set during this epic adventure.
First ever Ocean-themed Classroom YouTube Sessions, reaching kids and adults globally.

📚 Educational Outreach and Talks

– Delivering talks at the Blue Earth Summit, UShaka Aquarium, NSRI and Parley Ocean Hub, for adults, speaking on Ocean Conservation and sustainability across the globe, in the UK, Hawaii, Dubai and South Africa.
– Delivering inspiring mentor sessions for Surfers Not Street Kids and the 9 Miles Project, not only in South Africa, but also to the MAST Maritime Elementary and middle Schools of Miami, USA.
– Generous gifting of more than 60 x ALL IN! & Stoked books, by Chris Bertish, to empower, mentor and inspire young minds from the Surfers Not Street Kids and the 9 Miles Project.
– Multiple collaborative beach clean-ups both in Cape Town, South Africa and California, USA.
– The establishment of the “ALL IN!” Forest, through the Platbos Reserve in South Africa.
– Planting 2,000 trees through the SeaTrees Initiative and assisting with the Coral restoration in Hanauma Bay in Hawaii.
