Chris Bertish Foundation

Don’t tell us “That’s impossible.

We tackle impossible things all day.

Under the watchful guidance of Chris Bertish we are showing a new generation of leaders, champions, and believers that “impossible” is  something you get done using courage, clear purpose, real passion and true inspiration.

OUR MISSION

The Chris Bertish Foundation exists to inspire courage, confidence and self-belief in all. Our charitable projects link the cornerstones of the foundation together by focusing on education, conservation and sustainability through the adventure projects Chris undertakes. Through the Chris Bertish Foundation we work to inspire courage, confidence and self-belief in our youth, to help them realize their greatest potential. Our mission is to foster a more empathic generation who are invested in giving back, caring for others and the world around them.

OUR STORY

The Foundation was developed out of Chris Bertish's desire to inspire and be a positive change in the world through his global projects and conservation initiatives. Whilst Chris inspires our youth to dream big and reach for the stars, the foundation works tirelessly to promote Chris' message of conservation and education and turn it into meaningful action around the world.

We are on a mission to help protect at least 30% of the world’s ocean by 2030 and achieve carbon net zero by 2050.  We are completely carbon neutral, certified by 1% For the Planet and Climate Neutral, and plant hundreds of trees each year in the Worldview Climate Parks.

EDUCATION

We develop educational programs, workshops and talks centered on personal growth, life skills, courage, and self-esteem, while creating passion and purpose driven individuals. As part of our educational outreach we provide mentorship programs for schools, students, and other youth focused non-profits in need. This includes surfing and SUP camps all over the world for under-privileged communities.

CONSERVATION

We are committed to raising social awareness about environmental, conservation, and sustainability initiatives on a global scale through the foundation and Chris’s expeditions. We extend this commitment into practical action with real-world, observable impacts like beach clean-ups and planting mangroves in the Worldview Climate Parks. We conduct educational interventions with schools, and contribute to curriculums that teach and encourage sustainability practices to inspire the next generation.

OCEANS

This summer Chris is embarking on another world record expedition, to be the first person to cross an ocean on a wing foil, alone and unsupported. On this journey, Chris will gather important oceanic data, and create live Ocean classrooms to teach millions around the world about ocean health and our challenges with climate change and plastic pollution. He’s doing this to inspire others to be the change we want to see in the world, while giving back to the planet and raising money to plant thousands of trees in climate change parks.

INSPIRATION

Chris speaks at events, climate conferences, and schools around the world to inspire others to protect the planet and ocean, care for others, and give back to the world around you. Through these appearances and talks, Chris tells stories of adventure and achieving the seemingly impossible while making an impact in conservation!
